The bluebells bloomed...

...and summer arrived. We had temperatures sky high today. I am so glad summer is here, sunshine is kind of an antidote for all the things gone wrong, I think. It smooths out the creases and puts a smile on everybody's face. :)
I just snapped these now. I love them. I couldn't tell you why. They are by no means perfect, they are technically incorrect in a thousand and one ways but I like them. I guess it's like Hans Christian Andersen said, “Just living is not enough... One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.”

Summer is finding me, Lulu, but since I live in Texas that's not a good thing, lol. I'm trying to ignore it's arrival, though :P

Beautiful sunny pictures. I love your editing. I like the second one the best. LOVE the backlighting :)

Summer hasn't found me either.

But I felt it through these photos, so THANK YOU, Lulu.

That quote is just perfect, and I love the backlighting. I'll let you keep the good weather over there a little longer, my good friends are going to Scotland tomorrow and I want them to enjoy it :)

These are beautiful Lulu! I love coming to your blog. Your photographs are always so "light & fresh". They have an innocence to them that is really beautiful.

I love these pictures! They are so beautiful. They evoke a mood that brings back many summer memories for me.
Unfortunately, we still have snow on the ground here - though it doesn't usually feel like summer until late May or early June. I did think spring was here, and then came the snowstorms all over again. Oh well... at least I know it's melting and the flowers will be up soon!
